Steps From Your Door

Bight Reef

One of the Caribbean's finest shore-entry snorkeling sites is just 50 yards offshore from Coral Gardens. Wade in from the beach and you're swimming with sea turtles, spotted eagle rays, parrotfish, angelfish, and nurse sharks gliding over vibrant coral formations. No boat needed — the reef is right at your doorstep in 3–6 feet of crystal-clear water.

  • Best at high tide for optimal water depth and visibility
  • Bring your own gear or rent from beach vendors
  • Reef markers help with navigation

Snorkeling · Swimming · Beach walks · Paddleboarding · Families

12 miles of powdery white sand, consistently rated #1 Beach in the World by TripAdvisor. Protected by an offshore barrier reef with gentle waves, crystal-clear turquoise water, and no seaweed problems. The central section near Coral Gardens offers the best snorkeling at Bight Reef. Public beach with no private sections.

Sapodilla Bay

15 min

Small children · Calm water · Wading · Windy day alternative

Very shallow, calm, warm water — excellent for small children and wading. Less crowded than Grace Bay with beach chair and umbrella vendors available. Beautiful white sand, and a great alternative on windy days when the north shore is breezy.

Taylor Bay

Serenity · Young children · Tranquility · Wading

Extremely calm, shallow water extending far offshore — you can walk out hundreds of feet. No vendors, no facilities. Very tranquil and uncrowded in a residential area. Bring your own supplies.

Long Bay Beach

Practical Tips

🚗 Rental Cars
We recommend Grace Bay Car Rental for reliability and price. Expect $45–60/day for a compact SUV. Remember: driving is on the left side of the road. Roundabouts are common — yield to traffic already in the circle.
🛒 Groceries
Island Selects offers pre-order grocery delivery straight to your suite — have everything waiting when you arrive. Graceway IGA supermarket is about 5 minutes away for anything you need during your stay. Pro tip: bring favorite snacks from home as island prices run 2–3x mainland.
🌤️ Weather
Temperatures hover between 75–85°F year-round with roughly 350 days of sunshine. Trade winds keep things comfortable. On windier days, head to Sapodilla Bay or Taylor Bay on the south shore for calmer water.
🧳 Packing
Essentials: reef-safe sunscreen, mosquito repellent (evenings can be buggy), Benadryl for any reactions, and a rashguard for extended snorkeling. Dress code is island casual everywhere — leave the formal wear at home.
🍷 Sunday Alcohol
Alcohol cannot be purchased at retail stores on Sundays. However, bars and restaurants can serve drinks as usual. Plan ahead if you want to stock your suite for a Sunday.
